The Stables *Opening Spring 2023*


Originally built in 1895, the grand Georgian-style stabling block at Manderston is currently being renovated to create a truly unique event space. It is set in glorious parkland and is a short walk from the main house. The Stables will officially open in Spring 2023, and we are now taking bookings via

A Magnificent Event Space

The Stables will offer a large event space with different layout options for guests to choose from. The former Coach House will seat up to 120 guests over 2 adjoining rooms. The Rock Sand cocktail bar will sit between the 2 function rooms and a separate drinks reception space, The Harness Room, with its chequerboard floor and green baize walls can be reached by walking through the original teak horse stalls – replete with polished brass features and covered by a barrel-vaulted teak roof. The Stables surround a historic cobbled courtyard which provides plenty of sheltered outdoor space.

Combining the vision of London-based concept designer Erstellen Studios and highly regarded Interior Designer Emma Benyon Designs, with the work of various skilled local craftsmen, The Stables will feel high-end and distinctly Ralph-Lauren inspired, retaining many characteristics harking back to its equestrian past.

Accommodation in The Courtyard

The Stables will include accommodation for up to 30 guests in The Courtyard. Currently under renovation, these rooms are being transformed into sophisticated accommodation in a modern but country style. Generously proportioned bedrooms with king sized beds will feature home comforts and luxury ensuite bathrooms. All situated on the first floor, these rooms will be decorated with a variety of beautiful and unusual fabrics from the likes of British company, Lewis & Wood. Guests will be able to refresh, unwind or uplift.
